Game Preview

The Tampa Bay Storm kicks off the 2013 season with its home opener versus the Jacksonville Sharks at the Tampa Bay Times Forum Saturday evening at 7:30 PM EST. This will be the seventh meeting between the two teams, and fourth in Tampa. The Storm has a 1-5 record versus the Sharks, with its lone victory coming at home last season.

Last Time Out

Following two consecutive wins, all that kept the Tampa Bay Storm from achieving a three-game win streak was the San Antonio Talons.

A close game manifested itself through three quarters, but San Antonio eventually pulled away in the final period, leading to a 52-36 win over the home team Storm at the Tampa Bay Times Forum on Friday night.

The defeat dropped Tampa Bay to 2-2 on the season, as the Storm evened up their record to .500, while the Talons earned their first win of the year after beginning the 2013 campaign with losses in each of their previous two contests.

"I don't know what it was, but we didn't get off to a good start and we just didn't focus," Storm head coach Dave Ewart said.
