Last Time Out

TAMPA BAY  --  Randy Hippeard’s seven touchdown passes, three of those Amarri Jackson led the offense, but it was the incredible defensive play of Chris Smith that allowed the Tampa Bay Storm to strike early, build a solid three possession lead and defeat the Philadelphia Soul, 63-49, Friday night in an Arena Football League game on the Amalie Motor Oil Field at the Tampa Bay Times Forum.

A crowd of more than 11,000 watched the Storm (3-1) build a 49-38 margin at the end of the third quarter thanks to Hippeard, who said, “we executed the offense early.” Hippeard ended with connecting on 22 of 35 passes for 76 yards and Jackson had 10 catches for 143 yards, his biggest game this season.
