The Tampa Bay Storm is proud to announce that offensive lineman Tyler Moore has signed with the Chicago Bears of the National Football League.
“This is a great accomplishment for Tyler and we are proud that he has earned this opportunity in Chicago,” said Storm Vice President of Football Operations Jeff Gooch.
Moore (6-foot-6, 325 lbs., Florida) was in his rookie season with the Storm. The Countryside High School (Clearwater, FL) product was acquired by the Storm in early June and he would go on to start in four games. He began his collegiate career at Nebraska before transferring to Florida, where he started in 14-of-19 games for the Gators.
At Countryside, Moore was rated as one of the top offensive line products in the country, helping lead the Cougars to a 12-1 record in his senior season.
Moore is one of three former Storm players that have joined NFL teams within the past two seasons, with the others being former jack linebacker Jean Fanor (Green Bay Packers) and defensive lineman Frank Mays (Philadelphia Eagles).
