Storm announces opening roster

Mar 25, 2016

TAMPA BAY – With the end of training camp, the Tampa Bay Storm has announced the 24-man roster that will open up its 25th season on April 1 versus the Orlando Predators.

“Final roster cuts are always the toughest part of training camp,” said vice president of football operations Jeff Gooch.  “We had a great crop of players at camp that all displayed talent on the field.  As an organization, we believe we chose the best players to open up the 2016 season.”

The 24-man roster is comprised of 21 veterans, 12 of which return to the Storm from the previous season.  The remaining three players on the roster enter their rookie season in the Arena Football League.

The team reassigned offensive lineman Chris Jasperse, wide receivers Tristan Purifoy and Emery Sammons, and defensive lineman Frank Mays.
