The Tampa Bay Storm (5-5, 3-2) hosts the Milwaukee Mustangs (3- 6, 2-1) at 7:30 PM at the Tampa Bay Times Forum.
Key 1: Create Turnovers
The Storm are a perfect 5-0 at home this season. They've been able to get the crowd into games early with big plays on offense and defense. Creating turnovers in this one will be crucial. The Mustangs quarterback Gino Guidugli is tied as the most accurate passer in the AFL (67.5%) and has the second highest quarterback rating (124.5) largely in part to having only thrown seven interceptions, the third fewest by a starting quarterback in the AFL. The Storm needs to create turnovers from the start.
Key 2: Contain the Mustangs receivers
Milwaukee's leading wide receivers Jared Jenkins and Andrae Thurman have been very good as of late. Jenkins leads the team with 59 catches for 778 yards and 17 touchdowns and Thurman has reeled in 27 catches for 382 yards and nine touchdowns. Containing these two receivers for the Mustangs will be important.
Key 3: Wasil Needs To Get It Going
Storm quarterback Stephen Wasil has completed 65.6 percent of his passes at home versus 56.8 on the road. He has thrown fewer interceptions at home and his trio of receivers have performed well. Prechae Rodriguez, Chandler Williams and Amarri Jackson will all be looked upon to reel in big catches. Look for Wasil and his receiving core to put up a strong performance tonight.
