The Tampa Bay Storm is pleased to announce that veteran wide receiver T.T. Toliver has earned the AFL Highlight of the Week in the Storm’s 63-56 win over the Arizona Rattlers.
AFL Highlight of the Week: Toliver (6-foot, 185 lbs., Bethune-Cookman) made a spectacular over the shoulder touchdown grab with three seconds left in regulation to seal the Storm’s first win of the 2016 season. Toliver finished the night with nine catches for 182 yards and two touchdowns.
The 13-year veteran is set to break several AFL records this season as he is just 167 yards away from becoming the League’s all-time leader in receiving yards (15,135). Toliver also needs just 23 receptions to become the League’s all-time leader in receptions (23).
Toliver has already made history this season, becoming the first player in League history to have 5,000+ career receiving yards and 400+ career receptions with two different teams (Orlando – 7,734 yards/604 receptions; Tampa Bay – 5,362 yards/421 receptions). Toliver also joined Chris Jackson as one of the only players in League history to reel in 100+ touchdowns with two different teams (Orlando – 148; Tampa Bay – 101).
This is Toliver’s first weekly AFL award this season.
