DB Rod Mosley and WR Chandler Williams Honored By AFL

Chandler Williams Nominated for National Guard MVP of the Week

TAMPA BAY - Storm defensive back Rod Mosley and wide receiver Chandler Williams have been rewarded for their performance in a 63-46 win over the Kansas City Command this past Monday night. The AFL announced that Mosley has earned the Cutters Catch of the Week, while Williams has been awarded the Spalding Highlight of the Week.

Cutters Catch of the Week: Mosley (5’11, 185, Texas A&M-Kingsville) in his first game as a member of the Storm, hauled in his first interception of the year. Mosley came up with the interception after the ball bounced off-the-wall in the end zone during the third quarter denying the Command an opportunity to score in the redzone.

Spalding Highlight of the Week: Williams (5’11, 180, Florida International) wowed the Storm fans as he recorded three touchdowns in three different aspects of the game this past week. During the second quarter, he reeled in his tenth touchdown reception of the season; a four-yard pass from QB Stephen Wasil. In the fourth quarter he returned a kickoff 56 yards for his second touchdown. Williams would go on to finish the night with a loose ball recovery in the end zone on kickoff coverage for his third score. This was his fifth multi-touchdown game of the season.

National Guard MVP of the Week: WR Chandler Williams has been nominated for this week’s National Guard MVP of the Week. Voting can be found on the main page of www.ArenaFootball.com.
