He initially kicked at Scottsdale Community College, where earned several NJCAA honors, before finishing his collegiate career at Albany State where he earned all-conference honors his senior season… Senior year at Albany State University: named HSRN National Player of the Week after hitting field goals on the final play of regualtion to tie the game and the winner in OT in win over Clark Atlanta; named second team kicker SIAC Football All-Conference.

A native of Buenos Aires, Argentina, Bongarra came to the States during his sophomore season in high school…Earned a degree in Physical Education and Nutrition…Prepped at Saguaro H.S (Scottsdale, AZ) and played football and soccer…Grew up playing soccer with Maradona as his idol.
