Last Week's Performance

The Tampa Bay Storm (4-2, 1-1) defeated the formerly undefeated Spokane Shock (5-1, 2-0) Saturday evening at the Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena, in front of a crowd 9,872 fans, by a score of 70-62. The game saw the Storm defense intercept Erik Meyer twice, breaking his streak of 193 pass attempts without throwing an interception.

The Storm defense led the way in the first half holding the Shock’s high-powered offense to only seven points. The team made it a point to put pressure on Spokane's quarterback. The team believed that by applying pressure it would be able to force Meyer into throwing an interception. The strategy worked as the team would come away with two interceptions on the night. This was the Storm's fifth consecutive game with an interception. Defensive lineman Rodney Beamon had an interception to go along with his sack for a loss of 10 yards.
